Monotype approached Matter Communications and GUSTO to create a short documentary highlighting the type foundries that make its extensive creative library possible. By showing a profound respect for the process they rely on, Monotype aimed to generate brand awareness with both consumers and potential foundry partners. This was a project at its core to be made by creatives, for creatives.

DP Colby Todisco and I traveled to California, Germany and Italy, leveraging local talent and a nimble camera package to tell the stories of type designers John Roshell, Rene Bieder and Zetafonts.
