According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, approximately 14 million people in the U.S. suffer from an alcohol use disorder. Matt struggled with alcoholism from an early age and became sober at age 27. Disappointed with the sedentary lifestyle of his court-ordered living situation, Matt began spending a few days a week at Shadow Haven Farms – a farm and ministry dedicated to assisting men recovering from addiction in their rehabilitation and success moving forward.
